About me

The story began in 1988 in the fair City of Nottinghamshire, from the beginning with his sellotape mermaids (so they didn’t get wet) Luke knew he would do something creative with his life, from art at school to performing arts at college, art is always close to his heart. Spending part of his life as a hairdresser specialising in colour, he knew he had to be more creative, he had more stories to tell, more adventures to explore and more skills to discover. A BA Hons in Art allowed him to discover himself and find out what brings him joy. He gained experience with multiple mediums and developed the spirit to learn and overcome challenges. He has been able to find a voice and tell his fairytales. His greatest and most recent creation being the artificial intelligence known as Galatea, straddling both virtual and physical worlds, augmenting herself in reality.

 

Nostalgia comprises a key part of his art context, a tool that can bring comfort and transport the viewer to a state of ease, from Renaissance paintings to hearing the intro of an 80s or 90s sitcom or remembering your favourite childhood toy.
